Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES)

Emergency service is one of the basics of the Amateur Radio Service. The RACES program is the government arm of amateur emergency services. In the event of an emergency, RACES would be activated by the County’s Director (or designee) of the Office of Emergency Services. Activation occurs the time of an actual emergency within the county and/or to conduct a drill.
